Are you an enthusiastic and passionate business development manager, with a passion for customer service looking for an exciting challenge in an organisation with a heart of gold? As our Tours Business Development Manager you will be responsible for the management and promotion of all group tours and growing the Bathurst Tours and Bathurst Community Transport businesses.

The Tours Business Development Manager is responsible for:
- Coordinating and facilitating Bathurst Tours and Bathurst Community Transport group tours
- Promoting Bathurst Tours and developing exciting new products
- Identifying and developing partnership and new market opportunities
- Overall management of the Bathurst Tours business (bookings, quotes, organising tours and managing staffing and communication)
- Coordinating and writing grant applications for business development opportunities and tenders and securing donations
- Implementing the marketing plan
- Preparing newsletters and media releases
- Developing, implementing and reporting on social media campaigns
- Managing the websites
- Liaising with drivers and volunteers to ensure smooth running of trips
- Using software to manage trips allocation
- Monitoring and reporting on business development activities, including progress towards targets and KPIs that directly contribute to the business success
- Maintaining positive working relationships by encouraging good communication processes and teamwork
Our ideal candidate will have the following:
- Demonstrated experience in business development and customer service
- Demonstrated high level verbal and communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work with minimal supervision
- Well developed written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated experience and confidence using MS Word, Excel and Outlook and database programs
- Understanding of individual and workplace obligations, and a commitment to ensuring a safe workplace within Work Health and Safety Legislation
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or appropriate industry experience
- Marketing and communications experience
Experience and knowledge of the tourism industry would be highly valued

Hours may be negotiated for the right candidate. There is some flexibility to work from home 1 – 2 days per week.
